GUESTHOUSE - KAS HAMAKA
The main house of Kas Hamaka is an old (begin 20th Century) traditional Antillean house that is built out of coral and (wreck) wood. It was completely renovated but we kept the look and the spirit of the old authentic house
The main house consists of:
Warawara is a one bedroom apartment with a bathroom,a kitchen and a nice porch
with gorgeous ocean view
Prices start at 149$ per night
The second apartment Prikichi can easily sleep a family of 4 or 5. It has 2 bedrooms,
2 bathrooms, a big kitchen, a living room with sleeping couch
and a huge porch with fantastic sea view

Behind the main house we have built 3 spacious double story apartments Lagadishi, Yuana and Toteki. Downstairs each apartment has a living area with kitchen, bathroom and a nice outside porch with seating area and hammock.
The huge bedroom is upstairs on the second floor and also has a sea view deck (porch), where you can relax and enjoy the amazing view on your own sunbeds! In the bedroom there is plenty of space for extra folding beds and/or baby crib
Prices start at 139$ per night
In our tropical garden you can find an outside shower, to rinse of the salt after a refreshing dive in the ocean in front of the house. You can also find a big BBQ for everybody’s use. Furthermore we have built a huge palapa with a big table that can easily seat 8 guests.
A great place to meet, have a beer or share dinner!
We have named it Kas Hamaka which means: house of hammocks. So you can expect hammocks all around. We wanted to create a nice Caribbean atmosphere.
The Tree
The eye catcher of Kas Hamaka is a HUGE old Gumbo-Limbo (Palu di Sia in Papiamentu) tree in the garden. Nobody has an idea ow old this tree is, but it is breathtaking!

Kas Hamaka is an easy few minuts walk from Kralendijk. Audrey is a fantastic host, she loves to share all the informasjon she has. Very solution oriented and always available. Rent a car from them, cheaper then other places on Bonaire and flexible when you return the car. Very clean place!

Kas Hamaka has it all: perfect location, relaxing atmosphere, delicate apartments, warm and welcoming hosts. Like other reviews says; maybe we should keep Kas Hamaka like a secrete, to make sure it’s room for us next time!?

Every year in May we come back to Kas Hamaka. For us it is the perfect place to stay.
We stayed at apartment Prikichi, in the yellow colonial building, with a large terrace, view on the street and sea. Staying in this apartment make you feel part of the local life. Close to the center and best snorkeling just in front of the house :)
The Location
It can’t get much better. Kas Hamaka is located on the best spot on Bonaire! It looks out over the ocean and is opposite of the fisherman peer. Local fishermen sail out every day to catch the most delicious fresh fish. You can watch them as the sail back in and clean the fish they have caught. It is a great spectacle as different birds and other fish try to catch any leftovers.
